Grants for Athletes
PA Judo Members,
PA Judo, Inc. has set aside 2009 Grants for competitors who meet the following criteria:
1. Must be a registered USA Judo member in Pennsylvania.
2. Must be a member of a registered PA Judo, Inc. Club for 2009. If your club was not registered at the time of the tournament, but now registers, funding will be allowed. Application can be found at www.pajudo.com

3. Participation in the PA State Championships, held in Bryn Mawr near Philadelphia on March 14, 2009. If the athlete also participates in the PA Open in Fall of 2009, they can qualify for funding and additional qualified event for a maximum of 2 events per division.
4. Must have placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in 2009 at any of the following events

The awards are $100 for 1st, $75 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd. There are caps on
the pools of money available. If the number of applicants exceeds the pool
amounts, the board will vote to pay or prorate the amounts. There is $1000
allocated for Seniors, $1000 allocated for Juniors, and $1000 allocated for
Masters/Kata. These fund will not be paid out till all the tournaments listed
above are complete.
6. All applications are due 30 days from the end of the tournament. Please see attached application and email to: alisonstevens@hotmail.com or mail to the address on the file.
Please email any questions to alisonstevens@hotmail.com . If there are funding requests that fall outside of the attached, please send myself and President Eugene Kim a proposal and the board of directors will review.
PA Judo is standing firm that the criteria for any funding requests is participation in the 2009 PA State Championships. No exceptions will be made.
